Gymnastics Pacifica has been proud to qualify many gymnasts to state, regional, and national level competitions.  For these meets, a gymnast must earn a spot on the team by receiving a specified score at a designated meet.  Each step up brings the best gymnasts in a specific region together to compete in an intense, highly competitive meet to decide the best gymnasts of the year.  Gymnastics Pacifica has produced several champions in each level.  Most recently we have had:

Victoria Lark
2005 Level 8 Regional Vault Champion
2005 was Vikki’s first year in level 8.  Making it to the regional championships her first year was an accomplishment in itself; but she surpassed this and earned first place on vault.  After all of her hard work during practice, Vikki performed a near perfect vault earning a 9.7!  Congratulations Vikki on all your accomplishments!

Elizabeth Watanabe
2005 Level 7 State Vault Champion

This was Liz’s first year joining Gymnastics Pacifica’s team and she made a huge contribution.  The 2005 season was Liz’s first year competing in an optional level and she exceeded everyone’s expectations.  As a level 7, the state championship is the highest level of competition.  While competing against the best level 7 gymnasts in California, Liz surpassed the others and became the 2005 level 7 state champion on vault!  Congratulations Liz, keep up the good work!

Caila Baltas
2004 Level 5 State Beam Champion

Many feel the balance beam is the hardest event in women’s gymnastics.  Caila conquered this hurdle and became the 2004 level 5 state champion.  She tumbled, danced, and balanced her way through her amazing routine to become the reigning state champion.  Congratulations Caila on a job well done!

National TOP's Camp

Taylor Hendricksen was acknowledged this year for her outstanding gymnastics skills and dedication to the sport by being invited to the National TOP B Camp, where she became the first gymnast from Gymnastics Pacifica to be part of the TOP's team. TOPs is comprised of the best female gymnasts in the country aged 7-11. The gymnasts and their coaches attend camps and training sessions to become better educated in the sport of gymnastics. Congratulations Taylor and good luck at this years TOPs competition!
